While a patent is in the pending application stage, no renewal fees are due. Once a patent is granted in Indonesia, you are obliged to pay a recurring renewal fee to the Patent Office of Indonesia to maintain the patent. The first renewal fee is due within six months from the grant of the patent. You will have to settle the renewal fees for all the pending previous renewal years before the expiration of these six months upon the grant of the patent. Thereafter, the renewal due date for all subsequent renewals will fall on the anniversary of the international filing date.
For example, if the filing date of a patent is 2012-07-06 with the sixth anniversary on 2021-07-27, and the grant date of the patent is 2019-02-19, you will have to settle the first renewal fee from year 1 to year 8 upon the grant of the patent on 2019-07-06. The next annuity for year 9 will be due on 2020-07-06 (on the anniversary of the international filing date).

The first renewal fee is due within six months from the grant of the patent. It is worth noting that in Indonesia you need to pay an additional renewal fee for each claim depending on the number of claims your patent application has.
For example, if a patent has an annuity due for year 4 as well as 11 claims, the formula will go as follows:
(1250000.00 IDR for year 4) + (100000.00 x 11) = 2350000.00 IDR
