You pay patent renewals in Iraq to the Industrial Property Department, in IQD, up to year 20. You pay nothing until the office grants your patent. Miss a due date and the patent lapses: there is no grace period.
What are the patent renewal due dates in Iraq?
Iraq counts annuities from the filing date, and the amount depends on which patent year you are entering. You pay nothing while the application is still pending.
The first renewal falls due on the day of grant, payable to the Industrial Property Department.
For example, if the grant date is 2022-01-20 then the first renewal must be paid on 2022-01-20.
Every later annuity falls due on the anniversary of the filing date, each year, until year 20.
For example, if the filing date was on September 9, then all subsequent annuities will be due on September 9 each year.

Up to 20 years from the filing date, as long as you pay every annuity on time. Stop paying and it lapses at the due date.
